amoral s second album beneath ari released 26 october 2011. japan edition out october 19, 2011. first single same difference , second single, , first video, silhouette . silhouette has both electric , acoustic versions, acoustic 1 original. second video made punk rock oriented track wrapped in barbwire , pays obeisance guns n roses video garden of eden . february 14, 2012 beneath released in via end records , in mexico published february 15. in russia out march 27, 2012 via fono records. album ranked public voting fourth best domestic metal album @ finnish metal awards 2011. , ari 4th best vocalist.

fallen leaves & dead sparrows (2014)

amoral´s 6th album, 3rd ari, fallen leaves & dead sparrows released in finland on february 14, 2014 , digital on world. in europe album released on march. album produced ben varon. marco hietala produced vocals of ari. music more progressive ever on amoral´s albums , has more metallic touch 2 previous albums. album has received predominantly positive reviews metal magazines , webzines around finland, europe , usa. band has been praised instrumental , vocal skills , liberated versatile music. fallen leaves & dead sparrows reached finland s chart-position no 18 in first week , stayd on charts 2 weeks. first video blueprints published in march 2014. second video prolong stay released 29.8.2014. in january 2015 amoral released cure cover burn.

in sequence (2016)

in february 2015 amoral started recording 7th album in sequence, released global 5 february 2016 , in japan 29th january 2016. album continues progressive metal style of fallen leaves & dead sparrows heavier. beside 6 members there quest musicians featuring in album, percussionist teho majamäki, indica singer jonsu , amine benotmane acyl. first single rude awakening published in december 2015 on youtube. , second single next 1 go in january 2016. ben varon telling album concept in interview made german metal page negatief.de @ end of january 2016. told among others: ...in general wanted keep focus on clean vocals, though niko in band. think melodic side of amoral such big part of nowadays. didn’t wanna go way growling. niko’s vocals more special effect use when it’s necessary , brings “extra something” song. again niko came guitar player... album heavier because of niko. ari sings super clean. there no rock’n’roll in sound on new album. niko aggressive parts , when ari comes in smooth , deep.

touring amoral

ari koivunen has toured amoral in finland , in europe 2009 on. ari debyted amoral in usa @ sxsw event , in china in spring 2012. band performed in japan @ same tour. ari touring 2nd time in europe amoral in autumn 2012, when amoral supported ensiferum @ bearers of swords -2012 tour. band toured in asia in april–may 2013 playing @ pulp summer slam festival in philippines , @ peking , shanghai midi festivals in china. festival in peking biggest 1 in band´s history audience of 10 000 people. toured in europe again in november 2014 swedish metal band dark tranquillity.

the band had in sequence -tour in finland in spring 2016. ari koivunen not sing in old school tour of band in finland in autumn 2016, when band plays 3 first albums original singer niko kalliojärvi in vocals. ari´s last performance in amoral takes place on january 5, 2017 @ final show of amoral in helsinki, finland.

amoral calls day

july 27, 2016 band announced, signed current members, disband in beginning of 2017: heavy hearts announce ve decided disband amoral. not easy decision, band has been such huge part of our lives (in case of ben , juhana, 19 years!), yet felt time. conflicting schedules , fading interest in touring in members have made band run @ half-speed. amoral not ”half-speed” band. s or nothing. and, honest, idea of starting brand new after time has become appealing....
