the second superhero (later villain) superboy-prime, true superman other supermen originate. first appeared in dc comics presents #87 (nov. 1985). superboy s powers first manifested around time of passage of halley s comet in 1985. after manifesting powers, superboy-prime met earth-one s superman. thereafter earth-prime destroyed in crisis on infinite earths #10. superboy-prime escaped universe s destruction, , later joined earth-two s superman, earth-two s lois lane-kent, , earth-three s alexander luthor in paradise dimension .
superboy prime possesses powers far exceeding of modern new-earth superman (kal-el).
in issue #6 of infinite crisis mini-series, anti-heroic superboy-prime convinced alexander luthor earth-prime ideal world , urged him draw inspiration making new earth earth-prime. luthor began searching through myriad earths earth-prime and, in metatextual nod earth prime s original status keystone earth, looks directly @ readers , reaches out towards them grab our reality.
