the communist party of india (marxist–leninist) liberation, led dipankar bhattacharya , kavita krishnan, largest surviving faction of cpi (m-l) , prominent factor in national left politics of india. has presence in of country. liberation has established legal overground structures (trade unions, student groups, peasant organisations etc.) , participates in elections. in lok sabha elections in 1999 party won 0.3% of votes , 1 seat (the former asdc-seat assam). in 2004 elections seat lost, due split within asdc. of 2016, party has been able send representatives state legislative assemblies of bihar , jharkhand panchayats of bihar, jharkhand, uttar pradesh, west bengal, , punjab.
