ilgam lake located @ center of konkuk university’s seoul campus. swamp converted artificial lake when university moved campus nagwon-dong current location in 1954. when indoor ice skating rinks uncommon in 1950s , 1960s, lake used national competitions. occupying 55,661㎡, lake accounts approximately one-ninth of campus area. maintain water quality, 650 tons of underground water added daily , motor boat used prevent algae blooms.

established in 1963, konkuk university museum features 4,532 historical artifacts, including dongguk jeongun, 1 of national treasures of south korea. museum housed @ sanghuh memorial hall, building in chosun school of politics founded. began @ nagwon-dong in jongno-gu, sanghuh memorial hall, , moved current location in 1985, , continues represent konkuk university’s roots , rich history. museum open public, , special lectures on korean history , culture given throughout year.

sanghuh memorial library serves konkuk university’s main library. opened in 1989, largest library in asia @ time. of february 2014, library had more 900,000 korean books , 200,000 foreign language books. 6 reading rooms 2,200 seats available, , reading room on third floor of library opened 24 hours day. library has interlibrary loan agreements korea university, dongguk university, sungkyunkwan university, hanyang university, hankuk university of foreign studies, , chung-ang university.
