on october 7, 2003, along rep. bill pascrell of new jersey s 8th congressional district, adler formally endorsed senator john kerry president , became co-chairman of john kerry s campaign in garden state. shortly afterwards on december 19, 2003, governor of new jersey jim mcgreevey , of new jersey democratic party came out in support of former governor of vermont howard dean president. because of endorsement kerry, , kerry s decisive win in democratic primary, adler rumored frontrunner u.s. attorney new jersey if senator massachusetts had won 2004 presidential election.
