during 2004, founding convenor, jon roffe, negotiated informal relationship between mscp , philosophy department chris cordner (then head of philosophy department). allowed mscp undertake activities using office in department , university of melbourne resources , teaching spaces. late 2004, mscp invited dr marion tapper of university of melbourne philosophy department become member. merely formalised involvement had been supportive of mscp both philosophically , on account of knowing of members teaching , supervision.


one way in mscp attempts transcend university boundaries seeking new ways teach , engage philosophy. in particular, mscp events strive both informal , rigorous. courses offering no credit or assessment, students attend there joy of philosophy , seek further own intellects outside of formal classroom setting. being not-for-profit organisation, mscp charges minimum courses; again, aimed @ transcending current economic climate of university funding.
