the option choose 5 different colours on lower trim – c30 contrast colour collection.

new interior features include:

all-new colour combination known espresso/blond, consisting of dark brown upper section , blond, fresh shade on lower door sides. blond tone somewhere between grey , beige , expression of volvo s strong scandinavian design tradition.
luggage compartment cover in rear, uses new material , new graphic pattern further enhance car s modern image.
oyster burst déco centre stack option

new accessory styling kit includes foglamp décor, front skidplate, side scuff plates engraved c30 logo , rear skidplate stylish aluminium look. d5 , t5 2 90 mm tail pipes in polished stainless steel added underline powerful engine.

optional sport chassis, available in models except 1.6d drive, includes lower steering ratio, giving 10% faster response steering wheel input. spring stiffness has been increased no less 30% in order increase car s poise in enthusiastic driving.

in spring 2009, volvo c30 1.6d drive available advanced start/stop function (as 1.6d drive start/stop).

the updated c30 went on sale in 2010, 2011 model in north america , australia. models include t5 (2.5 litres), 2.4i, 2.0, 2.0f (flexifuel), 1.6, d5 (2.4 litres), 2.0d, 1.6d drive, 1.6d drive start/stop. delivery began in 2010.

beginning in 2011 model year, d3 , d4 engine options added product line. other changes include new body colour (flamenco red), cars volvo on call have option of activating cabin heater remotely via sms text messaging.

the prototype c30 electric car used 82 kw electric motor, , had 24 kwh lithium-ion battery pack installed in propshaft tunnel , in space occupied fuel tank, outside passenger compartment , away deformations zones. c30 electric delivers 150 km (93 mi) under nedc cycle.

range extenders concepts (2011)

volvo c30 series-connected range extender based on c30 electric three-cylinder combustion engine producing 60 ps (44 kw; 59 hp) installed under rear load compartment floor. car has 40-litre fuel tank. combustion engine connected 40 kw generator. combined power used drive car s 111 ps (82 kw; 109 hp) electric motor, driver can choose let generator charge battery, increasing car s operating range on electricity. range extender increases electric car s range 1,000 km – on top of 110 km range provided car s battery pack.

volvo c30 parallel-connected range extender includes turbocharged three-cylinder combustion engine rated 190 ps (140 kw; 187 hp) @ rear , 40-litre fuel tank, six-speed automatic transmission. 40 kw generator battery can charged give car increased range on electricity alone. electric motor same series-connected range extender car. combined power rated 300 ps (221 kw; 296 hp). range extender increases electric car s range 1,000 km – on top of 75 km range provided car s battery pack.

the volvo c30 electric body built on regular assembly line in factory @ ghent, belgium, , glider transported gothenburg installation of motor, batteries , other model-specific electronics.

as low production car, volvo intended lease volvo c30 electric corporate customers, companies, authorities , government agencies. initial deliveries scheduled third quarter of 2011 throughout europe, including in sweden, belgium, netherlands , norway. volvo planned build 250 cars end of 2012, , possibly more if market interest takes off. volvo planned allocate total of 100 volvo c30 electrics us, half of destines on west coast , other half on east coast. volvo targeting leases corporate , government fleet users @ price of around us$2,100 per month in u.s. , €1,500 per month in europe on three-year lease. pricing higher other electric cars available in market 2011, volvo explained prices reflect actual cost of limited-production car. during 2011, 6 units registered in france. total of 126 units have been leased in sweden through september 2012 since 2011. of 5 july 2013, c30 no longer available order volvo, nor appearing in model line on volvo cars website. last c30 s current stock registered end of 2013, none produced after july 2013.

production of c30 electric began in june 2011. delivery of first ten c30 electric went energy company göteborg energi deliveries starting @ autumn of 2010. leasing fleet customers in sweden, belgium, netherlands , norway began in third quarter of 2011. total of 209 units have been leased in europe through october 2012, sweden top selling market 149 units delivered since 2011 through march 2013.

production ceased in december 2012 , c30 range discontinued in 2013.
