pons 2005 season included 11 rallies world rally car , 4 production class rally car. driving peugeot 206 wrc , citroën xsara wrc, finished in points twice. best result fourth, @ rally catalunya. 7 points resulted in 16th place in overall championship.


for 2006 season, pons signed full wrc season kronos total citroën, partnering two-time world rally champion sébastien loeb. ninth event of season, rallye deutschland, had gathered 11 points team decided replace him dani sordo second driver collect manufacturers points. pons still failed impress team, , when loeb injured , not compete @ rally of turkey, kronos hired colin mcrae stand in. however, @ turkey, pons finished fourth. promoted kronos second seat again , went on finish fourth in australia , new zealand , fifth in final race of season; wales rally great britain. 32 points, placed seventh overall in championship.

after failing land drive in competitive team 2007 season, pons announced withdrawing competing in wrc. however, vowed stay in shape, should opportunity arise 2008 or later 2007 season. opportunity came halfway through 2007 season subaru world rally team signed on xevi pons drive third car on remaining events on 2007 schedule, , contest full schedule subaru in 2008 option subaru keep services in 2009. despite this, pons never did return subaru 2008. instead, competed on spanish national rallies.


in 2010, pons returned wrc in newly formed swrc class, driving ford fiesta s2000 nupel global racing team.


he won debut s2000 event in rally mexico. pons won second s2000 event in row winning in jordania. in both occasions, finished on wrc points. pons won super 2000 world rally championship in 2010.
