born in zanzibar, tanzania yussuf began career leicester city, youth , reserve teams. failed make appearance club, , on 21 may 2011, impending expiry of contract, yussuf released leicester city.


tamworth (loan)

on 1 january 2011, yussuf signed conference national side tamworth on one-month loan deal. yussuf made tamworth debut on 1 january 2011, coming on 45th-minute substitute scott barrow in conference national fixture away kettering town, , turned out winning start career club tamworth went on win game 1–0, own goal paul furlong.


burton albion

following successful trial period burton albion during pre-season of 2011–12, club signed yussuf on one-year deal on 2 august 2011. yussuf s first goal burton came in 6–3 away victory against barnet on 29 october 2011. having found first team opportunities hard come by, yussuf had wait until august 11, 2012 score second albion goal, opener in 2–2 draw against sheffield united in league cup, albion going on win on penalties.


lincoln city

on 23 may 2013, yussuf signed conference national side lincoln on one-year deal. after making 2 appearances lincoln, yussuf found more success out on loan, spells @ gainsborough trinity, harrogate town , histon throughout season, scoring total of 3 goals in 10 games throughout season.


oxford city

on 1 august 2014, yussuf joined oxford city, signing one-year deal conference north club. on 9 august 2014, yussuf made oxford city debut in 1–0 away victory against hyde united, playing full 90 minutes. yussuf scored twice in oxford city s 3–2 victory on solihull moors, netting first goals club in 5th , 27th minute. on 15 november 2014, yussuf registered 10th league goal of campaign, in 2–1 home victory on brackley town. on 7 february 2015, yussuf scored first hat-trick oxford city, in 5–0 victory in away fixture against brackley town.


mansfield town

it announced on 5 june 2015 yussuf had signed mansfield town on free transfer oxford city. on 8 august 2015, yussuf made mansfield town debut in 1–1 draw carlisle united, replacing nathan thomas in 74th minute. on 3 october 2015, yussuf scored first mansfield town goal in 4–3 away victory on dagenham & redbridge, scoring winner in 85th minute. on 11 march 2016, yussuf received five-game ban , £700 fine fa urinating @ of stand while warming-up unused substitute during league 2 fixture against plymouth argyle.


crawley town (loan)

yussuf joined crawley town on six-month loan on 2 august 2016. 4 days later, yussuf made crawley town debut in 1–0 victory on wycombe wanderers, replacing enzio boldewijn in 95th minute. on 24 september 2016, yussuf scored first goal crawley in 3–2 away victory on morecambe, opening scoring in 72nd minute. on 26 december 2016, crawley manager dermot drummy confirmed yussuf s loan deal had been terminated.


grimsby town

yussuf joined league 2 side grimsby town on 1 january 2017, agreeing 18-month contract on free transfer. 2 days later, scored on debut; goal-kick, brought ball down , flick strike partner bogle, again flicking ball path of yussuf, raced forward , slotting past gillespie seal 3–1 victory grimsby , end carlisle united s unbeaten home record. away @ hartlepool united in second match, yussuf opened scoring make 2 goals in first 2 appearances mariners.


barrow

on 29 july 2017, yussuf joined national league barrow on one-year deal.
