after leaving of previous band pinhead circus brandon joined rise against in 2000 after drummer, dan lumley left , asked join band. band signed fat wreck chords in 2001. release debut album unraveling , spent rest of year touring. band return studio in december 2002 work on second full-length, revolutions per minute in 2003 , toured 2003 warped tour, gain band success. rise against signed dreamworks records in late 2003 begin recording of third record, dreamworks shortly absorbed universal music group, , rise against found major label geffen records. todd mohney, band s guitarist @ time left , replaced chris chasse , began recording of new album siren song of counter culture. siren song of counter culture released on august 10, 2004 peaking @ number 136 on u.s. billboard 200 album charts, gaining band major success singles give all, swing life away , , life less frightening .


the band re-entered studio in january 2006, after touring in support of siren song of counter culture, rise against recorded fourth studio album @ blasting room studio in fort collins, colorado producers bill stevenson , jason livermore. sufferer & witness released on july 4, 2006 peaking @ number 10 on billboard 200 , received positive reviews critics , commercial success along singles ready fall , prayer of refugee , left undone . rise against toured in support of sufferer & witness throughout second half of 2006 , of 2007. band headliner in 2006 warped tour part of sufferer & witness tour. in late 2006, band co-headlined tour thursday included bands circa survive , billy talent. sufferer & witness has less of hardcore punk feel band s previous album. in 2007 chasse decided leave band , replaced longtime friend zach blair crime. during tour, on july 3, 2007, rise against released ep in canada titled noise, subsequently released in united states on january 15, 2008.


rise against s fifth studio album appeal reason released on october 4 in australia, october 6 across europe, , october 7 in united states. album sold 64,700 copies in first week , peaked @ number 3 on u.s. billboard 200, making rise against s highest-charting album date. appeal reason met positive reviews. rise against embarked on north american tour bands rancid, billy talent, killswitch engage, , riverboat gamblers in june , july 2009.


after touring 2 years rise against had begun recording sixth studio album 2011 release, @ blasting room in fort collins, colorado. rise against has announced 2 south american shows in brazil , argentina , run of european shows in late february , march 2011 respectively. endgame released on march 11, 2011 in united states peaking @ number 2 on billboard 200, receiving positive reviews critics , commercial success in united states , canada, along band s 3 previous albums. after touring south america, , europe, rise against tour united states in april in support of endgame tour, bad religion, , 4 year strong in support of tour.
