the top attraction of town 100 mineral springs (53 of them tapped) high carbon dioxide content , higher iron content, both in town , surroundings. of them well-kept , pavilions and/or colonnades built around them. notable ones are:



křížový pramen (cross spring) - famous spring of mariánské lázně. monumental pavilion cupola bearing patriarchal cross , 72 ionic columns built on spring in 1818-1826. today s concrete building copy 1911–1912, light wooden , brick construction. water spring high-mineralized strong laxative effect, has been used both curative drinks , baths.
rudolfův pramen (rudolph s spring) - wooden pavilion built on spring, water tapped , piped nearby colonnade , bottled. water low-mineralized high calcium content , has been used cure urinary problems.
karolinin pramen (caroline s spring) - named after wife of emperor francis i, caroline augusta. nearby colonnade built in 1869, pavilion reconstruction 1989. water low-mineralized, higher magnesium content.
ferdinandův pramen (ferdinand s spring) - water spring, similar in composition křížový pramen, bottled under excelsior label.

because of diverse number of visitors town able maintain churches of several denominations. these include anglican church designed notable victorian architect william burges , founded lady anna scott in memory of husband died in mariánské lázně in 1867. church constructed in 1879, shortly before burges s own death. no longer in use place of worship , concert hall.
